They were tested by professionals in real fishing conditions, on 13 tides during the 2014-2015 glass eels fishing season by 3 vessels from the Loire, the river with the greatest potential to improve the quality of the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.op-estuaires.fr\/en\/op-estuaires\/implantation\/\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: #4472c4; mso-themecolor: accent1; background: white;\">EMU LCV<\/span><\/a><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: black; mso-color-alt: windowtext; background: white;\">. One of the prototypes showed a higher average quality than the standard sieve in the order of 25%<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.op-estuaires.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/HYDROTAMIS2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1009\" height=\"274\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>On the left, the standard sieve most represented in the Loire in 2014. On the right the prototype which showed the best quality of elvers, whose reserve is divided into two parts: one with a mesh size of 1300\u00b5m and the bottom with a mesh size of 900\u00b5m.<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-2335121\" style=\"height: 20px; clear: both; width: 100%;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-1532894 kc_text_block\">\n<p>Following this study, the fishing gear regulation was adapted to the dimensions of the new prototype called \"Hydrotamis\".<\/p>\n<p>Chaque ann\u00e9e de nouveaux professionnels lig\u00e9riens s\u2019\u00e9quipent de variantes du prototype dont la r\u00e9serve du tamis poss\u00e8de les m\u00eames caract\u00e9ristiques que l\u2019\u00ab\u00a0Hydrotamis\u00a0\u00bb. Tous observent une meilleure qualit\u00e9 du poisson, d\u00e8s lors que la vitesse est limit\u00e9e et la dur\u00e9e du trait r\u00e9duite.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this gear and a rational fishing practice, professionals can claim the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.op-estuaires.fr\/en\/la-certification-seg\/\">certification<\/a> of their fish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
