Hij laat zich vervolgens door de stroming van de Gulf Stream meevoeren en ondergaat zijn eerste metamorfosen tot glasaal. Na 6 000 km, heeft de stroom hem naar de Noord-Afrikaanse en Europese kusten gevoerd. De glasaal gaat een riviermonding in op zoek naar een gunstige leefomgeving voor zijn ontwikkeling. In onze rivieren begint hij zich te voeden en wordt een aaltje, ontwikkelt zich vervolgens in \u00ab gele aal \u00bb. Wanneer de aal klaar is om zich voort te gaan planten in de Sargassozee verandert hij in \u00ab zilverkleurige aal \u00bb (of naar de rivier zwemmende aal). Hij wordt volwassen aan het einde van de terugmigratie op een leeftijd die wisselt van enkele jaren tot tientallen jaren, volgens de individuen en hun geslacht.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-4131489 kc_shortcode kc_single_image\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.op-estuaires.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Capture-d\u2019e\u0301cran-2019-12-09-a\u0300-17.17.43.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-1883186\" style=\"height: 40px; clear: both; width: 100%;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-611835 kc_text_block\">\n<h3 class=\"kc_title\" style=\"text-align: left;\">De glasaalvisserij in Frankrijk<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-1028847 kc_text_block\">\n<p>De periode van de glasaalvangst duurt 5 maanden. Deze periode verschuift niettemin naar gelang de riviermondingen , om overeen te komen met het migratieschema zuid\/noord van de glasaal langs de kusten. Binnen de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.op-estuaires.fr\/nl\/plan-de-gestion-anguille\/\">UGA LCV<\/a> is de vangst toegestaan tussen 1 december en 30 april , onder voorbehoud dat het quota niet eerder bereikt is. De vangst vindt hoofdzakelijk \u2019s nachts plaats.<br \/>\nFrankrijk is het voornaamste productieland van de glasaal met bijna 65% van de Europese productie, v\u00f3\u00f3r het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Spanje en Portugal.<br \/>\nDe glasaalvangst is een activiteit waarop men terug kan vallen voor schepen die kleiner zijn dan 12m, heel vaak kleiner dan 10m, en die niet in staat zijn de zware situatie op zee in de winter te trotseren.<br \/>\nVoor de vangst van glasaal, slepen de boten zeven (verschillende naar gelang de riviermonding), met een snelheid die ligt tussen 0,5 en 4 knopen, tijdens slepen van 5 tot 15 minuten. Tijdens vloed worden de glasaaltjes aan boord bewaard in een visvijver.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-412558 kc_row\">\n<div
